Finding Love Out of the Blue

The waiting is the hardest part and I believe that Tom Petty had love on his mind when he wrote that song. Being single when you want to be a couple can be frustrating, but it doesn’t have to be painful. What I realized for myself and with my clients is that love arrives into your life out of the blue, without warning.

Unlike losing weight, working out or saving money, there is no tangible way to gauge how close you are to your goal of finding Mr. or Ms. Wonderful. The day before I met my man I was dreading another holiday season alone. Little did I know that my single life was quickly coming to an end. It just happened and one day I woke up in a new, wonderful relationship.

After months or years of being single, many find it difficult to remain hopeful. If you judge your future based on what happened before, of course you would feel discouraged. The key is to have faith in the unseen and be open to miracles happening in your love life. By visualizing yourself in love with your ideal partner every day, you are focusing on success. Your life will always bring what you focus on, so direct your mind to the best case scenario instead of the worse.

You will not believe me if I tell you that your true love is coming until it actually happens. I cannot fill your mind with faith, only you can do that. Don’t worry about getting your hopes up and being disappointed, you are already disappointed! You can spend the next few months moping about being single or joyously preparing for the love of your life. It is your choice. What feels better to you?
